Your sash window questions, answered
-
Bespoke windows are made from either Accoya (specially treated wood) or PVC. There are pros and cons to each which we are well versed in explaining as often people are unsure of their preference.
Our Accoya wood in produced from verified sustainable sources.
Today, more than 40% of our PVC window frame profile is produced from recycled material. The proportion of recycled material varies between 40% and 75% and this is set to increase ongoingly.

You may book a free home consultation online, by phone or in person at our showroom. We do ask that "all concerned” are at the initial meeting (which could be a Saturday) as there are several choices to make to ensure that your quote is neither under nor over specified. This consultation is carried out in a brief, informative and “non sales” manner.
We would then always invite you to our showroom so that you can see exactly what you would get for your money, believing that any quote is relatively meaningless unless that happens.
When you are ready to place your order, one third deposit is required which can be either transferred online or paid by card at no extra charge.
Your detailed site survey would then be booked and carried out by our Surveyor, Callum, who would also be your project manager, lead you through the entire process, be personally responsible for the outcome and available to answer any questions at any time. Callum has been passionately involved in the window industry for over 40 years!
The fitting would be booked, at your convenience, usually at around ten days notice. On the first day of the fitting, the fitters would arrive usually before 9am, introduce themselves and start by fitting specialist protective coverings to the floor and work area. All Bespoke fitters have decades of experience and have worked solely in the Bespoke team for over ten years. Please see our meet the team video for more details.
Once your job is complete we would issue your final invoice for payment and then your guarantee and FENSA certificates.

This varies, depending on workload but is generally around 6 to 12 weeks. We are happy to advise our current lead time by request at any time.
-
All windows fitted will be fully finished the same day. That way, you can get “back to normal” the same evening. This also makes things easier for clearing rooms ready for the next days window fitting.
-
Your new windows will be unconditionally guaranteed for 10 years, meaning that all moving parts and all labour are fully guaranteed, which is very often not the case in the wider window industry. If you have a problem with our windows we really do want to know about and deal with it. It’s all part of our primary goal to “create raving fans”!
